Oman Air is the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, hubbed at Muscat International Airport. It joined the oneworld alliance in mid-2025 as its newest member, and operates a fleet of around 33 aircraft including Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, Airbus A330s and 737 MAX jets to destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. From Tanzania, Oman Air connects Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar via its Muscat hub.

Baggage Allowance

Standard allowance: checked baggage allowance depends on fare class and route, typically 25-30kg in Economy and up to 40kg in Business Class. Cabin baggage is usually limited to 7kg.

Excess baggage: can be pre-purchased online at a discount or paid for at the airport; rates vary by route.

Sports & special equipment: golf bags and diving equipment are generally accepted as part of your checked allowance or for an additional fee — contact Oman Air in advance to confirm.
