Flying Etihad to or from Tanzania? Here’s everything in one place — real routes, baggage rules, and direct links to check in or manage your booking, no digging through help pages required.
Etihad Airways began operations in November 2003 as the UAE’s second national carrier, wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi government. It isn’t part of a global alliance but maintains an extensive codeshare and equity-partnership network, serving over 70 destinations from Abu Dhabi. Etihad doesn’t fly to Dar es Salaam — its only Tanzania route is a seasonal Abu Dhabi–Zanzibar service on the Airbus A320, running four times a week each summer (mid-June to early September), a handy gateway for travelers heading on to the Serengeti or Kilimanjaro.
