Flying SWISS (or its sister carrier Edelweiss) to Tanzania? Here’s everything in one place — routes, baggage rules, and a direct link to check in or manage your booking.
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is Switzerland’s national carrier, part of the Lufthansa Group and a Star Alliance member, hubbed at Zurich Airport with a secondary base in Geneva. Its fleet includes Airbus A220s, the A320 family, A330s, A340s and A350-900s, flying to well over 100 destinations worldwide. Importantly, SWISS itself does not operate scheduled flights to Tanzania — Tanzania is served by its Lufthansa Group sister carrier Edelweiss Air, bookable through swiss.com, which flies Zurich–Kilimanjaro (near year-round) and Zurich–Zanzibar (weekly). Zurich–Dar es Salaam itineraries shown on swiss.com are typically operated by Star Alliance partner airlines rather than SWISS’s own aircraft.
