Regional Air Services is a Tanzanian domestic carrier based in Arusha, wholly owned by Kenya’s AirKenya Aviation and operating since 1997. It was the first airline in the region to run an all-turboprop fleet, and today flies Cessna Caravans on scheduled and charter routes linking Arusha and Kilimanjaro with the Serengeti’s bush airstrips, Lake Manyara and Zanzibar.

Baggage Allowance
Standard allowance: around 15kg per passenger inclusive of hand luggage, in soft-sided bags only — rigid suitcases generally can’t be loaded into the aircraft’s cargo pods, consistent with other light-aircraft safari operators in the region.
Excess baggage: subject to available space and charged per kilogram — arrange in advance where possible.
Sports & special equipment: due to limited cargo space on light aircraft, bulky sports or camera equipment should be flagged when booking so it can be weighed in with your allowance.
