It launched a new direct Johannesburg–Zanzibar route in June 2026, with a Cape Town–Zanzibar service following in October 2026 — useful new options for travelers connecting through South Africa.

Baggage Allowance

Standard allowance: typically one checked bag up to 20-23kg in Economy, with higher allowances on some fare classes. Cabin baggage is usually limited to 7-8kg.

Excess baggage: can be pre-booked online at a discount or paid for at the airport; rates vary by route.

Sports & special equipment: golf bags and diving equipment are generally accepted as part of your checked allowance or for an additional fee — contact Airlink in advance to confirm.
